GPS device stolen from vehicle parked at Berkshire Mall
A man returned to his car from about 9:20 p.m. Feb. 3 to discover someone had broken into it. The thief or thieves struck while he was in the Berkshire Mall, in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing, and took a set of tools and a GPS device.

Vehicles broken into in Wyomissing parking lot
Security guards from Reading Hospital Medical Center found two vehicles with broken front-passenger-side windows about 3:27 p.m. March 11 in the parking lot of a medical office in the 200 block of Park Road North in Wyomissing. Both had empty GPS brackets on the windshields, but no indication if the GPS devices were missing or simply not in the vehicles to begin with. A cell phone and wallet were reported stolen from one of the vehicles.

GPS device stolen from car parked in Berkshire Mall parking lot
A woman returned to her car about 1:37 p.m. Feb. 12 after visiting the Berkshire Mall in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing and discovered someone had smashed her passenger-side window. A Magellan GPS device worth about $100 was stolen from inside the vehicle.

GPS device stolen from vehicle in Wyomissing
About 9:43 p.m. Jan. 9, a man discovered someone had smashed the driver’s-side window of his vehicle that was parked in the 800 block of Berkshire Boulevard in Wyomissing. A Garmin GPS device worth $215 was stolen from the dashboard.

Cell phone, GPS device stolen from unlocked vehicle in Wyomissing
A man left his car unlocked overnight in the 700 block of Old Mill Road in Wyomissing. He discovered the next day, on Nov. 4, that someone had taken a Garmin GPS device worth $300 and a Blackberry phone worth about $400 from his car.

GPS device, DVD player stolen from vehicle in Wyomissing
A woman called police Oct. 21 to report that sometime between the previous evening and 9 a.m. that day someone got into her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 1200 block of Cleveland Avenue in Wyomissing. The thief or thieves stole a portable DVD player worth $125 and a Garmin GPS device worth about $150.

GPS device stolen from car parked at Berkshire Mall
Sometime between 5 and 5:45 p.m. Sept. 26, someone smashed the driver's-side window of a Kia Spectra that was parked outside the Ruby Tuesday's entrance to the Berkshire Mall in the 1600 block of State Hill Road in Wyomissing. The thief or thieves stole a Tomtom GPS device worth about $150 and caused $300 in damage to the car in the process.

GPS devices stolen from vehicles in Wyomissing
A woman told Wyomissing police July 18 that sometime in the past couple days someone entered her unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of Garfield Avenue in the borough and stole a Garmin GPS device worth about $150.
In the morning of July 19, someone smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Lehigh Avenue in Wyomissing and stole a Garmin GPS device worth about $200 that had been attached to the windshield of the vehicle.

Electronics, purse stolen from vehicle in parking lot
A car was broken into about 12:46 p.m. July 7 in the parking lot at Home Depot in the 1700 block of Crossing Drive in Wyomissing. The thief or thieves smashed the driver’s side window and took a woman’s purse, GPS device, Blackberry and portable DVD player.

GPS devices stolen from vehicles in Wyomissing
A man parked his vehicle at work in the evening of June 16 in the 1100 block of Berkshire Boulevard in Wyomissing. While he was there a thief (or thieves) smashed the driver’s side window and stole a Garmin GPS device and wallet. Wyomissing police are checking to see if video surveillance of the parking lot caught whoever did it.
Two days later, at 11:36 a.m. June 18, a store security guard saw a man take a GPS device from the windshield of a vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Crossing Drive and drive away in another vehicle.

Late-night vehicle break-ins in Wyomissing
Just after midnight June 13 someone broke the driver’s side window of a car parked in the 1100 block of Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing and stole a GPS device, valued at $129.99.
Later that night, at about 12:48 a.m., a woman told Wyomissing police three purses were stolen from the trunk of her vehicle, which was parked unlocked in a restaurant parking lot in the 1100 block of Bern Road.

Electronics stolen from parked car
A man called Wyomissing police on the afternoon of June 9 to report a vehicle break-in that happened two days earlier in the 1200 block of Penn Avenue. A GPS device and cell phone were stolen. But the thief may have been caught in the act by video surveillance footage, described in the police report as “marginal quality.”

Thieves steal GPS devices from cars
Global positioning systems were stolen from two vehicles this week. One was taken from the truck of a man working on a road crew. His vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of Park Road North in Wyomissing. He told police he left the truck unlocked and was gone from it for an hour.
The second one was taken June 3 from a car, also in the 1000 block of Park Road North. The right front window was smashed and the victim said his GPS device was on the front passenger seat.

GPS gone
A Garmin Nuvi GPS device and cell phone were taken from a car parked May 29 in a parking lot on the 1700 block of Papermill Road in Wyomissing.
The next day, a woman called police to report that her son’s TomTom GPS device was stolen from a car on the same block.
